What happened to the UPS Ground Saver option?

Does anyone know what happened to UPS Ground Saver in Amazon Shipping? It’s gone since Labor Day.

It was quite an attractive option for my West Coast buyers.

Once again shipping cost is eating up my slim profit margins.

I am getting the UPS Ground Saver options through Veeqo (Amazon owned). I don't get it through the Amazon Buy Shipping page, but I do have my UPS account linked through Amazon Buy Shipping, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

I still have ground saver in buy shipping. It is more expensive on Amazon then other places though. I use a different shipping partner. Save about $1.00 per shipment. Shop around. Amazon buy shipping isn't as cheap as you hope.

It comes and go's as an option with me. This weekend it was offered. As an FYI, This Monday my local post office branch told me they could no longer accept UPS Ground Saver packages so I went to the UPS store, where I was told that I had to drop them off at the post office. I was finally able to convince the UPS store to take them.

Beware UPS ground saver risks a $1,150 fine if their scanners accidentally scan your item as larger/heavier than what you put in. Which happens a LOT since it is automated and two packages scan together easily or a piece of packaging/tape is out just a little bit.

Hi @Seller_xChY9wAo7PTVr,

Dominic from Amazon here, it most likely is due to the delivery promise time. You are able to utilize ground saver outside of buy shipping if you prefer and it meets the delivery window.

Best,

Dominic

our experience with Ups is horrible.

1. Amazon is reducing handling times to a day which logically will impact options.

2. We are on a walkway with post times for pick up and deliveries which ups ignores with complaints and tickets.

3. Prcimg appears to generally be a few cents under USPs Which seems to be poor business practice.

4. We rarely use UPS because we end up using way to much staff time arguing over surcharges that appear to be the result of our small package being on top of a larger package when.they scan it for dimensuions and weight. Adding inches to every dimension, bring packages to The UPS store so they double check our info and even sending listing info on size and weight can not quickly or easily resolve such issues.

It shows up for me. It is sporadic. The last two days I've had a lot go by UPS. Monday I only got USPS.
