If I am a european citizen residing in the US on a work visa, what country of citizenship should I put in when creating a seller account?

If I am a European citizen (on the approved list) but reside in the United States on a working visa and have a US driving license and bank account, when creating an Amazon seller account, as the primary contact person, Can I put in "United States" as the country of citizenship?

No. You would not be accepted by Amazon as a citizen of the United States because you are on a work visa. You should put your home country as the country of citizenship.
