are product description changes limited to brand representative vs reseller role
Hello,
We are Brand Registry / Reseller Selling Role for a Brand.
We have recommended product description and bullet item changes for specific ASINs. Seller Support is saying "The ASIN is owned by another brand steward" and that there is a "winning brand steward" that must approve the product related information.
- If our Selling Role was Brand Representative, would this still be an issue for us?
- How does a brand steward claim ownership of an ASIN?
- Where is the "winning brand steward" identified in Brand Registry or Seller Central account information, if we were to be the "winning brand steward" for an ASIN?
- Where in Brand Registry or Seller Central will the Brand be notified of these product changes, so I can direct them to follow up?
Hoping that one of the moderators can assist, @Dougal_Amazon@Sandy_Amazon. I can supply the Case ID if that would be helpful.
Thank you for your consideration.

Hi @Seller_R0SXS0gMCVARy
Thank you for your post here.
A Brand Representative role is an internal, first-party seller who is directly employed by the brand. You should have access to selling benefits.
I would need to look into the ASIN to see if there are any additional insights I can offer. Would you please provide me the case ID?
