Edit Shipment Quantity post Appointment confirmation

This feature enables you to edit quantity of your FBA shipments post confirmation of FC (fulfilment centres) appointments. You can now reduce the quantity of shipment by either removing ASINs and/or decreasing unit quantity of few ASINs on Seller Central to match with the actual numbers of units you intend to send to our FC without having the fear of losing your confirmed FC Appointment.

Note: This feature supports only ‘decrease’ of shipment quantity and it will not allow to ‘increase’ shipment quantity. Any over-ride on quantity increase will result in cancellation of inbound appointment.

Steps to edit the shipment having confirmed appointment:


  1. Go to Inventory drop-down, choose Manage FBA Shipments and go to Manage FC Appointment.
  2. Click on the confirmed appointment ID related to the shipment you wish to edit.


  3. Select the FBA shipment ID that needs to be edited.
  4. The Send/Replenish Inventory page opens for the shipment selected.
  5. Under Review shipment contents, click on Review and modify units.
  6. Remove ASINs (click on cross mark on extreme right) and/or decrease unit quantity (under Shipped column) against MSKUs / ASINs to match the actual shipped quantity or units.


As an alternate method, you can edit the shipment from your 'Manage FBA Shipments' page.

  1. Go to Inventory drop-down and choose Manage FBA Shipments.
  2. When the 'Shipping Queue' page opens, search for the FBA shipment ID you wish to edit.
  3. Click on Track Shipment.
  4. The 'Send/ Replenish Inventory' page opens for the shipment selected. Click on Prepare Shipment tab.
  5. Under Review shipment contents, click Review and modify units.
  6. Remove ASINs (click on cross mark on extreme right) and/or decrease unit quantity (under Shipped column) against MSKUs / ASINs to match the actual shipped quantity or units.

FAQ

1) Can I increase the unit quantity of any ASIN under 'Shipped' column without impacting my confirmed appointment?

No, this feature does not allow you to increase the shipped quantity and doing so shall lead to cancellation of your confirmed inbound appointment. Refer to the screenshot below:


2) Till when am I allowed to edit my shipment having confirmed appointment?

You can edit your shipments with confirmed appointments before actually shipping / dispatching them.

3) How is this feature helpful for me?

You can use this feature to proactively update the correct number of units that you actually intend to send to our FCs and avoid any shortages in your shipments. Note that we try to maintain high accountability in unloading/receiving the units shipped by you, and constantly strive to investigate and reconcile any differences between units in the shipment versus units received at FCs. Any upstream differences in shipment quantity and shipped quantity generated at your end will be stored and tracked in our system. We may consider discrepancies in your past shipments to assess likelihood of an error from you for cases where we are unable to pin point on FC or carrier created error for any 'Missing from Inbound' contacts you make in the future.
