Amazon’s Policy on Selling Smoke Masks in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)

What is a Smoke Mask?

Fire and smoke masks are personal protective equipment and respiratory protective devices. They include air-purifying respirators that protect a person from a fire by removing harmful contaminants from the inhaled air. Such products may use a filter, cartridge, canister, sorbent, catalyst or a combination of these items to remove such contaminants.

What is Amazon’s policy on selling Smoke Masks in the KSA?

If you are selling Smoke Masks, you may be asked to provide documents to confirm the safety and compliance of your products. Amazon requires documentation that indicates testing compliance with standards or regulations for each product you are applying to sell.

Smoke Masks must meet the standard and regulation requirements listed below:

Note: You certify that all materials you submit are authentic and accurate. Amazon may remove your selling privileges for failing to meet these safety requirements.

What information do I need to provide to Amazon when requested?

Amazon’s policies require that Smoke Masks sold through the Amazon website meet the certification standards required by law. Have the following documents available at all times. If you are contacted by Amazon, please submit the following information to mea-life-safety-equipment@amazon.ae

  1. Your company name
  2. Your vendor ID or seller ID
  3. Your email address
  4. Your phone number
  5. A list of ASINs you are applying to sell
  6. The country or countries where you would like to sell your product
  7. Clear product images that display:
    • The model number
    • CE marking
    • Safety instructions in Arabic or/ English and Arabic languages
    • Brand name
    • User manual in Arabic or/ English and Arabic languages
      Note: Any written warning/product manuals needs to be in the language of the intended country of sale.
  8. Declaration of Conformity (DoC) illustrating compliance with EN 148-1

What will happen if I do not follow Amazon’s policy on selling Smoke Masks?

If you do not provide the required information, Amazon may:

  • Cancel your listing
  • Suspend your listing privileges
  • Suppress your ASIN(s)

Amazon reserves the right to take any further actions that are necessary and to make judgments in its sole discretion about whether or not a listing is appropriate.

How do I request removal of my products from Amazon Fulfillment centers?

If you are unable or unwilling to appeal the suppression on your ASIN(s), you have 30 days to create removal orders on your products from our fulfillment centers. Please visit the following help pages for more information:
