Bank account information

Amazon uses electronic transfers to pay your sales proceeds to you. Before you can receive payments, your seller account must specify a bank account for us to deposit money into. We cannot transfer funds to a credit card or online payment system such as PayPal.

To avoid payment delays:

You can provide a bank account to use direct debit as your charge method for Amazon. If you do so, you must use that same bank account as your deposit method, which will be automatically set for you. The details for that bank account will appear on your Bank Account Information page. You may also use this bank account as the deposit method for other Amazon Europe marketplaces; however, it cannot be used as the charge method for these marketplaces.

Add or edit your bank account information

Whenever you add or change your bank account information, a three-day security hold goes into effect. Fund transfers cannot be initiated until the hold expires. Only the primary account owner can make changes related to payment information.

To add new bank account information to your seller account:

  1. Go to Settings, and click Account Info.
  2. On the Seller Account Information page, under Payment Information, click Bank Account Information.
  3. Next to Deposit Method, on the right side of the page, click Edit.
  4. Next to Bank Account Information, on the right-hand side of the page, click on Assign if you are adding a bank account or Replace Deposit Method if you are modifying your current one.
  5. Next to the appropriate marketplace, click on Assign or Replace as applicable.
  6. Enter the information requested in the Bank Account section. Contact your bank directly if you have any questions about bank account requirements for each country.
  7. If you selected a country with a currency other than the marketplace you are selling in, go to Currency Conversion Payment Agreement, click Agreement, and read the agreement.
  8. Tick the Currency Conversion Payment Agreement box to accept the terms of the agreement.
  9. Click Submit.

Delete a bank account

You can delete a bank account from your seller account as long as it is not selected as your deposit method. If it is the current deposit method, you must add a new deposit account before deleting the older account.

To delete a bank account from your seller account:

  1. Go to Settings, and then click Account Info.
  2. Next to Bank Account Information, on the right-hand side of the page, click Manage Deposit Methods.
  3. Select the bank account to delete, and then click Delete.
  4. Click Submit.
