Some returns are identified by Amazon systems as containing "potentially hazardous" material. These products will be identified with a warning indicating that they may be potentially hazardous. These returns will require your manual authorization before a customer can complete the return and ship the product back to you. When processing a potentially hazardous return, verify that you can receive the product at your returns facility, and coordinate with the customer to ensure they have the appropriate shipping and hazmat labels before sending the product back to you.
This is primarily relevant to you if you are enrolled to use ‘self-ship’ (i.e., identify a third-party courier to deliver the item). If you use Amazon Easy Ship to deliver your items to customers, we impose certain restrictions based on our shipping carriers’ ability to deliver products safely to customers. As a result, you are not eligible to sell certain hazardous items if you use Amazon Easy Ship (unless you also qualify for self-ship, in which case you must ship those items yourself).
