We send an email notification to you when a return request requires manual authorization. This email contains links to authorize, close, or reply to a return request.
All return requests can be manually authorized or closed through the Manage Returns section of your seller account. This is the default setting.
Depending on your account, you may have the option of automatically authorizing return requests. You will still be required to issue refunds as appropriate once you receive the return.
Set your default return request authorization rules using one of the following options:
Each return request will be automatically authorized.
All return requests that fall within the scope of the Amazon Return Policy will be authorized.
Amazon sellers subject to the Business Solutions Agreement for the Selling on Amazon Service are required to have return policies that are at least as favorable as the Amazon return policies. You can see your applicable returns policies on your Returns tab.
Note that these returns preferences are not necessarily relevant for Amazon Easy Ship orders or orders that are Fulfilled by Amazon. For more information, see Managing Easy Ship Returns or Customer Returns for Orders Fulfilled by Amazon, respectively.
